Der Kaiser pernah mandi bogel dengan Pele. Capello pernah ke?While Franz Beckenbauer has been apologising for his outspoken views on England, other German legends have been queuing up to put the boot into Fabio Capello’s side.
Beckenbauer, who had originally labelled England a “kick-and-rush” team and “stupid” for not finishing on top of their group, attempted to put on a more diplomatic front, saying:
“I apologise because I like England and I like English football.
“Maybe it was a reaction because I was disappointed with England’s performances and maybe because I was in a bad mood.”
But there was no holding back last night from another former Germany captain, Uwe Seeler.
The man who faced England in the 1966 World Cup final and scored against them in the dramatic 1970 World Cup quarter-final, which the Germans won 3-2, insisted: “England have never been worse.”
He was joined in the stinging criticism of England’s current side by former Manchester City and Germany keeper Bert Trautmann and by another goalkeeping great, Oliver Kahn.
Seeler said: “They have no power and no dynamic. England do not play with speed or have any surprises. They are not fit. Look at Wayne Rooney – up to now he hasn’t played very well.”
Trautmann added: “There was an arrogance in the way the English team played against the USA. If I had been an Englishman I would have been ashamed.”
Former Bayern Munich star Kahn believes that if it comes down to a penalty shoot-out in Bloemfontein, then Germany stopper Manuel Neuer will triumph.
Kahn said: “Where have all the good England keepers gone since Gordon Banks, Peter Shilton and David Seaman? Now England’s best clubs just have good keepers from other countries.”

kalau england kalah game ni, mesti jadi kontroversi. lampard mengimbau kenangan tahun 1966. dan yang pasti, aku tak sure adakah rooney berada dalam team atau tidak sepanjang separuh masa pertama tadi.
